People often ask me why I wrote this book...

Because success has a side that most people never see. 

People often celebrate the accomplishments, but they rarely see the sacrifices, disappointments, setbacks, and difficult decisions that made those accomplishments possible.

I wanted to tell the honest story—the story behind the success.

My hope is that readers will see that opportunity isn't reserved for a certain background, race, or circumstance. It's often found by those who refuse to quit, continue learning, and keep believing that another chapter is possible.
